Well I got here and that is the good news, but I did have some airport shenanigans that were pretty crazy, but naturally that would happen to me. To start the trip off my flight got delayed two hours...so my shuttle plans for Paris were no longer, I decided to try and look for some of the girls but if I didn't find them I would just wing it...and wing it waiting for a few hours was pretty painful combined with the 11 hour flight, yikes it felt like three days, but finally I got the the charles de Gaul airport. I was very excited and very optimistic about finding some girls but to my great dismay (after a considerable amour of romping around the airport) I didn't find anyone. So I said to myself, how hard can this be? First I needed to exchange my money but obviously once I found a place to do it they were at lunch!? But I did meet a really nice girl named Ida, and we got to talking, she is from southern France and I went with her to find an exchange place. As we were walking she asked me about what I was doing and so I told her about my perdicament and she immediatly wanted to help. She found me a bus that led to a metro that was close to the hotel that I had to go to and helped me get to the bus stop, psh and everyone told me the French were going to be meanies. Now this was going to be a little tricky with two suitcases, a backpack, and a girl who had never been to Paris before! But it would only cost 12 euros opposed to the 60 for a cab so I just did it. Obviously it was a bit of a mess but I carried my suitcases and held my head high, and finally I got to the hotel! Obviously I was so proud of myself, but more tired than ever in my life. Jet lag is definitely a nogo. After all the 16 hours of travel I was finally here and so so so happy!
